Guild Membership
By opting to be a Guild Member (free!) you are entitled to representation, advocacy, advice, basic support and assistance and the right to vote in and contribute to the Student Guild. It means you can contribute to and be involved in the Guild, and that when you need representation or help we can provide someone to help, support and advocate for you.
Amenities & Services Fee
Full Time: $50 p/semester
Part Time: $25 p/semester
External: $15 p/semester
The Amenities & Services Fee is the fee that funds the Guild to provides services, support, representation and amenities for students at ECU. While you may not use many or all of the services of the Guild, by paying the fee you enable us to provide support services, assistance and activities for all students at ECU. Under VSU legislation , the Amenities & Services Fee is voluntary to all students.
By paying the Amenities & Services Fee, you enable the Guild to provide funding for and can access:

• Health Information & Referrals
• Interest Free Financial Loans & Food Vouchers
• G-Spot Student Publication New!

• Lobbying to reduce HECS Fees, Student Poverty etc

In 2009, if more than 20% of students opt-to pay the Amenities & Services Fee, the Guild will have sufficient funding and hopes to be able to provide:

• Equity Rooms (Support & Information Centres for Women & Queer Identifying students)
• Development of and Upgrades to Guild Access Points
• Guild Soup Days

Associate Membership NOW AVAILABLE!
Associate Membership of the Student Guild was established to enable a broader range of people to access the benefits and support of the ECU Student Guild. Staff members, alumni, local community members and students who missed the cut-off date for opting in for paying the Amenities & Services Fee may utilise this membership.
Associate membership entitles the member to the same range of services as a student who has elected to pay the Amenities & Services Fee and opted to become a Guild Member. Enrolled students who are associate members will also be entitled to the same rights to vote and run for elections as an ordinary member of the ECU Student Guild.
Associate membership may be revoked by an absolute majority of the Guild Senate if the member is deemed to have abused their rights.
To become an associate member, fill out the associate membership form , and include payment and required attachments. Return it to a Guild Office at Joondalup, Mt Lawley or Bunbury, or mail to ECU Student Guild, PO Box 3455, Joondalup 6027.
