BreakOUT! A New Fundraiser & Charity Gig by ECU Guild

ECU Student Guild will be organising a large charity concert for early 2009, in collaboration with Edith Cowan University and the City of Joondalup. The object of the concert will be to fundraise for ECU Student Guild's SCAPE program, targeted at Social, Cultural and Political Engagement at ECU.

Additionally, 20% of funds raised by the event will be donated to Joondalup Youth Support Services' Comet Program, which works to help young people at risk, homeless or dropped out of school to bridge the gap back into education.

The Concert will consist of local, state and popular entertainers inclusive of DJ's, Acoustics, Bands and Performance Artists who are willing to donate their time for a good cause. Additionally we intend to invite student groups and community organisations to attend the event and provide stalls and information for students and community members. If successful, we intend this to be an annual event for students and the community.

The ECU Student Guild is currently putting together an organising committee of committed students, Guild Representatives and advisors from the University, to plan, organise and run this event for 2009. If you are interested in getting involved, get in contact with the program coordinator:
