Guild Senate: Secretariat Positions 

Guild President

The Guild President leads the Guild Senate, and sets the policy direction of the Student Guild. The President is responsible for directing the Guild Senate and managing the day to day campaign, events and engagement management of the Guild. They are the primary contact for students at ECU and must dedicate a significant amount of time to catering for the needs of students at ECU and advocating on their behalf within the University.

The Education Vice President chairs the Education Collective, and organises education and student welfare campaigns. The EVP administrates advocacy and representation of students, and is the primary contact for all activism, education and advocacy related issues for students at ECU. Like the Guild President, the EVP must dedicate a significant amount of time to assisting and campaigning on behalf of students at ECU.

The Secretary Treasurer monitors budgets, finance and procedures of the ECU Student Guild, and works to keep the Guild running smoothly and efficiently for the benefit of students.

 

Chair Societies & Activities

The Chair of Societies & Activities chairs the board of clubs, societies and associations at ECU. The CSA administrates sponsorship for clubs and societies, collaborates with associations at ECU on joint events, and plans / facilitates new events and activities at ECU.


Chair Equity, Diversity & Sustainability

The Chair of Equity, Diversity & Sustainability chairs the board of equity & sustainability representatives in the ECU Student Guild. In this position they are required to administrate funding for the various equity & sustainability groups at ECU; organise and facilitate campaigns, awareness and events on relevant issues; and to represent the diverse groups of the ECU Student Body on the Guild Senate.
